Why the hell is the actor who played Dwight on The Office writing a book on spirituality?
So asks Rainn Wilson of himself in the preface to Soul Boom, a book about reclaiming spirituality from both dogmatic religions and hippy-dippy lukewarm types. Rainn is a member of the Baháʼí faith, a relatively new but fast-growing religion which grew out of a sect of Shia Islam in Persia.
We discuss this unique religion, as well as topics like God, Satan, and consciousness, as well as how to have better debates about them. Rainn is a wonderful guy, and I was so glad to sit down with him for today’s episode of Within Reason.
